In building Science City at Union Station, Ucko created a new kind of experience-based educational attraction that combines key elements of museums, science centers, theme parks, theater, and retail. Visitors engage in hands-on activities, play roles and encounter costumed "interactors" while immersed within an indoor metropolis. Settings include the "Mr. E Hotel" filled with illusions, a science-based Golf Course, the "Secret City" beneath the streets, a High-rise under construction, the Crime Lab, a Medical Center, and many other themed settings that combine hands-on activities, props, and humor to engage visitors in recreational learning.
