Ucko has carried out assessments of small and large museums for the American Association of Museums (AAM) and Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) as part of accreditation and membership reviews. He led the Kansas City Museum through its successful reaccredidation. Ucko currently serves on the advisory committee for AAM's Museum Assessment Program (MAP).

Museums+more recently conducted a comprehensive assessment of a children's science museum for the City of Boca Raton, Florida as the basis for improving its programs and operations and planning its future direction.
